![]() ![]() Google fu shows that this is an issue that has been appearing for users since at least 2014, and none of the solutions suggested by Microsoft appear to work.Įventually I'm going to upgrade the machines on my work domain to 1809, first I want to understand what the exact cause of this issue is so when it really matters I can fix it. Running command or powershell as admin and executing from the command line does allow me to open the app.Right clicking/run as administrator in windows explorer throws the warning. When running as the actual local admin everything works correctly.I don't know exactly when the issue cropped up, but the last execution time of my Hyper-V manager is 11/11/18 When running certain applications - so far I see Device Manager, MMC, Hyper-V manager, local security policy editor, gpedit.msc, there are probably more that I haven't encountered yet - I get a message saying that an administrator has blocked me from running this app. I am using a Microsoft account that is in the local admin group. This particular machine is not domain joined. ![]()
